"Kung Fu Hustle" director Stephen Chow is preparing to helm "Tai Chi", a remake of the Bruce Lee martial arts classic Meng long guo jiang ("Way of the Dragon") says Channel News Asia (via Twitchfilm.

The original 1972 'Dragon' had martial arts legend Lee traveling to Rome where he defends local restaurant owners from mafioso types. The film was one of the few outright comedic-toned efforts that Lee did in his lifetime.

Jack Black and Anne Hathaway (??) will co-star in the English-language pic when it begins shooting in June.
