Bettany Stays Busy

Paul Bettany and Rufus Sewell have joined the cast of the thriller "The Tourist" says Variety.

A remake of the French 2005 thriller "Anthony Zimmer", sees an American tourist (Johnny Depp ) visiting Italy after a failed romance. He is soon drawn into a web of intrigue by a female Interpol agent (Angelina Jolie) who is attempting to locate a criminal who was once her lover.

Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (The Lives Of Others) is directing from a script written by Julian Fellowes, Christopher McQuarrie and Jeffrey Nachmanoff.

Graham King, Tim Headington, Gary Barber, Roger Birnbaum and Jonathan Glickman are producing the pic that's currently in production.





In other related Bettany news Entertainment Tonight (via Collider) offers up a seneak peek at his new flick Priest-where plays a vampire-hunting man of the cloth who is after a band of the bloodsuckers who have kidnapped his niece.

"I loathe them," Bettany said about vampires. "There's a reason I did the movie. I just can't bear them."

Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Stephen Moyer, Lily Collins, Christopher Plummer and Brad Dourif co-star in the film that hits theaters January 14, 2011

The pic reunites him with director Scott Stewart, who told him what to do in last year‘s Legion
