French actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey is set to play a mermaid in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,"says Entertainment Weekly, . The actress plays Syrena, a mermaid who has a fateful encounter with Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).
She's previously appeared in the film Bruc

The film, directed Rob Marshall, will start shooting in Hawaii this summer for release next May.
