Dunst Takes Road Trip

Kirsten Dunst has joined the cast of "On the Road" says Variety.

Walter Salles directs this adaptation of Jack Kerouac's notorious novel, On the Road about Kerouac's years traveling all over North America with his friend Neal Cassady on a "cross-country bohemian odyssey".

"The film greatly benefited from the extra time we had to conceptualize it," Salles told the trade of his lengthy journey in adapting the novel. "The unedited scroll version was published recently and inspired a new version of the screenplay... is at the same time more luminous, daring and muscular than the one we had at the start."
