Samuel Le Bihan will star in and actor Eric Stoltz (pictured) will direct "Racing Patriots" says Variety. Frederic Helmer's script follows three Grand prix champs who escaped from France in 1940 and were trained by Winston Churchill's Special Operations Unit as spies and saboteurs. They soon help lead the French resistance during the occupation under the noses of the Gestapo and Nazi terrorism experts.
Le Bihan will play Robert Benoist. The other two leads-William Grover-Williams , and Jean-Pierre Wimille- have yet to be cast.
Dana MacDuff, Brandon MacDuff, Patrice Bonneyrat, Laurent Tolleron, Pierre Morel and Jarratt Carson will produce.
Shooting kicks off this winter.
