X-Men: First Class

"Spider-Man" candidate Frank Dillane ("Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince") is also said to be in the running for a role in "X-Men: First Class" according to The Playlist.

Talking with casting sources in the UK, the site also reports that "Kick-Ass" star Aaron Johnson is "pretty much locked into the movie" though don't say what role (best guess is a young Cyclops).

Johnson was rumoured to be involved in the project last week thanks to a paparazzi photo showing him with the recently cast James McAvoy and director Matthew Vaughn.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Variety reports that Stephen Graham ("Public Enemies," "The Damned United") has joined the cast of the upcoming fourth 'Pirates' film portraying Scram, the sidekick of Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow.

Meanwhile the first photos of the new pirate ship to be used by the production are online.

STYD reports that Dimension Films has officially denied a report from Star Magazine... this [past] week that Jennifer Aniston was going to be involved in the upcoming sequel.

The report suggested Aniston would play the "opening sequence victim" of [the film]
