Deadline reports that actor Neal McDonough is currently in discussions to play Dum Dum Dugan in "The First Avenger: Captain America"
In the comics Dugan is an accomplished marksman with a rifle and member of S.H.I.E.L.D., and he would likely appear along side Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).
McDonough's film credits include Star Trek: First Contact, Minority Report and Flags of our Fathers.
McDonough had been working on the summer series Scoundrels before he left for not wanting to do love scenes.on religious grounds.
Chris Evans Hugo Weaving Tommy Lee Jones, Sebastian Stan and Hayley Atwell also star
Joe Johnston will be directing the film, which is due to start shooting in July--for a theatrical bow on July 22nd, 2011
