Former "Prison Break" star Wentworth Miller isn't the only one from the show who is branching out as an industry writer. His on screen love interest, actress Sarah Wayne Callies, has had her new screenplay optioned according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Elena's Serenade is adapted from Campbell Geeslin's award-winning children's book- the coming-of-age story fuses dreams, music and magic in its story of a girl who crosses the Mexican desert to become a glass blower.
Cameron Lamb ("Daydream Nation") will produce the pic. This is Callies' first screenplay.
