Actors Sign on For “Cloud Atlas”

Respected industry talents Hugo Weaving and Ben Whishaw will tackle principle roles in the Wachowski Brothers’ upcoming adaptation of David Mitchell’s epic novel Cloud Atlas.

The Hollywood Reporter also relays that Halle Berry has officially signed on to star after pondering the idea last year.

The three will collaborate with Tom Hanks on this big-scale – perhaps “big-scale” is a bit of an understatement – feature. Warner Bros. will release the film domestically; international distribution rights will be sold at Cannes by Focus International.
