While MGM certainly hasn’t been dealt the best of what fate has to offer, it seems as if the tables have turned for the once-prominent Hollywood Studio.
Deadline Hollywood relays that the studio snagged Vin Diesel for the action-comedy The Machine. He’ll star in the feature as “the world’s first ultimate weapon,” which oddly looks like a human. The machine is hunted down by the government upon being found by a boy twenty years after its decommission.

Diesel has a broad appeal and loyal following in various circles; if the film is “family friendly”, then you can expect a domestic gross of at least $100 million.
