Kemper Likes Tatum In Jump Street

Bridesmaids cutie Ellie Kemper has joined the the action comedy film adaptation of  the TV Series "21 Jump Street" says Variety



Michael Bacall ("Scott Pilgrim vs. the World") wrote the R-rated script in which Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum play a pair of undercover cops working in high schools and colleges. The tone has been described as “John Hughes meets ‘Bad Boys'".

Kemper is playing Ms. Griggs, a chirpy chemistry teacher who is hot for Tatum's character. Her chance at love improve when she discovers he's not really a student.

Rob Riggle Brie Larson Dave Franco DeRay Davis Jake M. Johnson and Ice Cube playing the captain of the two cops also star. Original Jumper Johnny Depp will cameo

Chris Miller and Phil Lord ("Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs") are directing from their screenplay

The film is produced by Neal Moritz with Tatum and Hill serving as executive producers.

Shooting is currently underway in New Orleans.  The pic is set to hit theaters in March 16, 2012.
