The story centers on a group of renegade scientists who build a space craft to try and obtain a mysterious energy source emanating from the surface of the moon.
Simon Kinberg wrote the latest screenplay draft, polishing the earlier co-written by Liman and John Hamburg.
A list of Hunks Du Jur-including Jake Gyllenhaal Bradley Cooper, Chris Evans, Andrew Garfield, Emile Hirsch and Chris Pine-have all been mentioned as contenders for the male lead throughout the history of this projrct
