The new incarnation will be directed by John Luessenhop (Takers) and follows Heather, who, along with her friends, travels to Texas to collect an inheritance, which comes with a cousin by the name of Leatherface.
The script was initially written by Debra Sullivan, Adam Marcus and Stephen Susco, with the most recent drafts finished by Kirsten Elms and Luessenhop.
Production will take place in in Shreveport, Louisiana soon
