Crawford Wants Kendrick

Chace Crawford has joined the cast of the ensemble rom-com "What To Expect When You're Expecting" says Variety

An adaptation of the guidebook of the same name the film will interweave the lives of several couples as they prepare for parenthood.

Crawford plays a character who reunites with an attractive old flame (Anna Kendrick) after a turf war breaks out between he and a rival food truck driver (Rob Huebel).

Cameron Diaz, Rodrigo Santoro Jennifer Lopez Elizabeth Banks Chris Rock and Brooklyn Decker also star

Whip It writer Shauna Cross and Heather Hach (“Freaky Friday)” will adapt authors Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel bestseller into a screenplay.

Kirk Jones (“Nanny McPhee”) will call action on the film for producers Mike Medavoy, Arnie Messer, David Thwaites and Doug McKay.

Shooting's expected to start later this summer.
