Bullet Bulliten

Late last month the suits at Warner Bros.pulled the planned April 13th release of the action pic Headshot aka "Bullet to the Head" less than two months before release....

Then yesterday report by Twitchfilm added a new wrinkle saying that star Sylvester Stallone is now personally overseeing a new cut of the film, the new edit seemingly being done without director Walter Hill's involvement.  The film is now looking at a potential November release date.

Wait...what?

Very soon after both Hill and the studio issued an official response to AICN denying the story.  It reads:

"Contrary to recent inaccurate and unfounded reports that Sylvester Stallone had taken over the editing of "Bullet to the Head", director Walter Hill continues his editing of the movie. Walter Hill said today, “I’m currently finishing up and locking reels on the movie — as to the content and style of the film, Sly and I are in perfect sync. I’m delighted with the way the film is turning out and hopefully so will the audience."

Still--All this fuss begs the question--Just what is going on with this pic....?

Based on the graphic novel "Bullet to the Head" in which Stallone plays a New Orleans hit man who teams with a Gotham cop to take down the killers of their respective partners. Christian Slater is a local handler who acts as a middleman, Holt McCallany is a dirty cop who's partners with Sung Kang. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is the villain, a powerful attorney who's trying to cover up his scam to exploit poor neighborhoods that have been ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. Jason Momoa has been cast in the bad guy role of Keegan Sarah Shahi will play Sly's Daughter.

Alessandro Camon ("The Messenger") adapted the material into a script.

Joel Silver and Andrew Rona will produce the pic
