Burrell And Charles Embody Mr. Peabody & Sherman

Modern Family star Ty Burrell is replacing Robert Downey Jr. as the voice of the genius talking dog Mister Peabody in a new 3-D animated film based on the classic cartoon "Mr. Peabody & Sherman" says The Hollywood Reporter

As part of the original "Rocky & Bullwinkle & Friends", the characters created by Jay Ward--Mr. Peabody and his pet boy Sherman used The Wayback Machine to travel through time and discover new things about historical figures.

Max Charles (young Peter Parker in the July superhero reboot The Amazing Spider-Man) will play Sherman.

Rob Minkoff ("The Haunted Mansion") directs from a script by Jeffrey Ventimilia and Joshua Sternin that was reworked by  Craig Wright (Six Feet Under)

Alex Schwartz and Denise Nolan Cascino (Shrek the Third) will be producing the pic, with Tiffany Ward, Eric Ellenbogen and Jason Clark set as executive producers.

Mr. Peabody and Sherman will be hitting theaters March 14th, 2014.
