Ratner Wants His MTV?

Director Brett Ratner is circling the film adaptation of author Craig Marks and Rob Tannenbaum's book "I Want My MTV: The Uncensored Story of the Music Video Revolution" says The Hollywood Reporter.

Jody Lambert will write the adapted screenplay from the non-fiction book that chronicles the history of the cable channel MTV--from it's inception in the early 80s, its growth throughout the late 80s and 90s, and its place as a power player in our current facination with pop culture and entertainment.

Ratner is producing the the film along with Jimmy Miller. It unclear whether Ratner will call action from the big chair or not at this point.

John Cheng will serve as executive producer.

The film's production timetable is not yet set
