Butler May Lead A "Manhunt"

Gerard Butler is in advanced talks to star in the action thriller "Manhunt" says Deadline.

Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby wrote the script that involves a team of FBI agents sent to the North Carolina wilderness to chase the FBI’s most wanted man a domestic terrorist and survivalist named James Tollan. They enroll the help of a reluctant bear hunter to capture him, but the group finds themselves being hunted by Tollan who will stop at nothing to survive and defend his territory.

Breck Eisner ("Sahara") is set to direct

Michael Shamberg, Stacey Sher, Alexandra Milchan, Danny DeVito and Scott Lambert will produce.

Production is poised to kick off at the end of the year.

It seems that Butler is attached to just about every non-sequel action pic in the pipeline.
