George and John Gatins are developing a script that would bring Electronic Arts best-selling video game series Need for Speed to the big screen reports Variety.

As a rival to the  "Fast and Furious" film series, 'Need' has sold over 100 million copies of the eighteen games in the series, making it the most successful racing video game series in the world.

Paramount is said to be the frontrunner among the studios hoping to nab the property

John Gatins and EA will produce the film.
