No One Is Catching Fire As Odair...Yet

Despite reports both Armie Hammer ("Mirror Mirror") and Garrett Hedlund ("Tron: Legacy") are in the running to play Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire--producer Nina Jacobson told 24 Frames that all of those casting reports are very premature.

"That’s the thing that’s crazy -- people are like way ahead of where we are. We’ve not narrowed things down by any means. It’s funny to see how things can take on a life of their own" said Jacobson on the red carpet at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.

"Slumdog Millionaire" scribe Simon Beaufoy had signed on to originally go ahead and adapt author Suzanne Collins' next novel in the series a while back when Gary Ross was attached to direct. Since Francis Lawrence has replaced Ross, a new script was commissioned.

Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Lenny Kravitz and Donald Sutherland are expected to return.

Things still need to move at a quickend pace since Catching Fire already has a set release date of Nov. 22, 2013, and needs to finish shooting by December so that star Jennifer Lawrence can start work on Fox's in-development as yet Untitled X-Men First Class Sequel in January.
