Drew Barrymore will direct the end-of-the-world drama "The End" says The Hollywood Reporter.
Instead of a large scale film this will center on just several people and has an uplifting and humanistic tone as this group reconcile their fate on Earth's last day.
Among them--a steadfast veteran British radio personality, a Midwest teen couple, and a father in Tokyo trying to reach his family across the city.
Aron Eli Coleite ("Heroes," "The River") wrote the script.
Barrymore is still attached to direct and produce the young-adult thriller "Heist Society" and How to Be Single.
