"Prometheus" Gets A Sequel

The Hollywood Reporter says that Fox is moving forward with a follow-up to Ridley Scott's "non" latest chapter in the Alien franchise called "Prometheus".--Despite very divided reaction to the film.

Scott is expected to return, as are contracted stars Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace. Scott has previously said that the sequel would move even further away from the quasi-"Alien" prequel template used in the first film.

One person who isn't attached to return at this point is writer Damon Lindelof due to "unavailability".

Lindelof endured most of the criticism against the movie which while widely praised for its visuals both the public and professional critics pointed to various narrative issues and inconsistencies.

Fox president of production Emma Watts says "Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can't rush it."

The article also indicates sequels that both a "Ted" sequel and "Snow White and the Huntsman 2" are in the pipline as well.
