Wyatt Wants To See A "Night Film"

Rupert Wyatt ("Rise of the Planet of the Apes") is set to direct the noir thriller "Night Film" says Heat Vision.


 Based upon author Marisha Pessl's upcomming novel the story follows an investigative journalist named Scott McGrath who begins looking into the death of a beautiful young woman that was originally deemed a suicide.The woman turns out to be the daughter of a reclusive, cult horror film director named Stanislas Cordova, and McGrath finds himself on a journey of revenge and truth.

While the book will be released in August--a writer has not been hired yet to adapt the script.
 
No distributor is locked yet either, though producer Peter Chernin has has a first-look deal at 20th Century Fox.
