Director For "Hot Wheels" Film Down To Two

Director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and "World War Z" second-unit director Simon Crane are are the favorites to sit in the driver's seat for the film adaptation of Mattel's "Hot Wheels" brand now in development says Heat Vision.

Art Marcum and Matt Holloway wrote the script which is described to be closer to an entry in the  Mission: Impossible film series rather than a Fast and the Furious clone.

A decision on a director is expected to be made in the coming weeks.

Production hopes to rev up in the first quarter of 2014.
