Nate Corddry Set For "St. Vincent De Van Nuys"

Nate Corddry has joined the comedy/drama "St. Vincent De Van Nuys" says THR.


The Black Listed script by director Ted Melfi follows a 12-year old boy who, in the wake of his parents' divorce, forms an unlikely friendship with the misanthropic war veteran and retiree (Bill Murray) living next door whose life mainly consists of drinking, gambling and prostitutes. The elder soon becomes an unlikely mentor.

 Corddry is set to play a pencil-pushing mortgage counselor

Bridesmaids star Chris O'Dowd plays a priest that is shocked to discover how well the young man and Murray’s character get along. Fellow Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy also stars as the boy's hard-working single mother who takes the risk of leaving her son in the care of a Murray. Naomi Watts will play a Russian prostitute who develops a close relationship with Murray's character Scott Adsit plays McCarthy's ex hubby.

Terrence Howard also stars.

Don Cheadle, Peter Chernin, Melfi, Fred Roos and Jenno Topping will produce the film.

Production is underway.
