MOS 2: Hans Zimmer Talks About The Music

Film score composer Hans Zimmer worked with Christopher Nolan on his Batman trilogy and then did the same for "Man Of Steel" director Zack Snyder, and now, things are coming back full circle with the upcoming Superman/Batman team-up Man of Steel Sequel involving a different actor portraying  the cowled hero.

If he does end up doing the film--He will no doubt further explore the themes he created for Supes last time out--As far as how he will musically define Bat-fleck...What might we hear?

While chatting with Collider, Zimmer confirmed that he hasn't made a final decision yet whether he will even score the next film:

"It’s creating a bit of a problem in my head right now. Quite honestly, I’ve gotta sit down with Zack and have a chat with him about what he’s trying to do because what I don’t want to do is go back to that well. It’s a different Batman; Christian Bale and what I did with Chris, that needs to have its autonomous life. I don’t want to go and now appropriate that and put that into the other Batman. Of course I can see myself doing it, first of all because I love working with Zack. I think you can tell from that score we had a lot of fun, and I think it was inventive. Once I got over the whole ‘Oh my God I’m not as good as John Williams thing which, I’m different! And it’s different times."

MOS 2 will see the return of Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck will play Bruce Wayne/Batman amid lots of fallout--while Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane are set to reprise their roles as Lois Lane, Perry White and Martha Kent.

Those reports that suggested that the chatter about former "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston playing Lex Luthor in the upcoming movie were true have now been denied by the actor.

There's also noise that the production is seeking is a love interest for the Dark Knight in the film. The Type? A woman in their late 20s of any ethnicity. They do, however, specify that she be tall and "possess physicality".

The notice DID NOT give a name for the character, which led to speculation that it could anyone from Vicki Vale to Wonder Woman. A leaked casting call has fanboys thinking that Amazon warrior is in "Batman vs. Superman"

A love interest for Bats suggests that he will have a larger part in the film than expected. It also could mean that other characters like Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred Pennyworth might show up as well.

Singer Justin Bieber uploaded a photo on his Instagram account showing him holding up what appeared to be a personalized script for the film with the hashtag "#Robin" but it turned out to be a prop for a Funny or Die skit.

"Man Of Steel" writer David S. Goyer will be back--as will Christopher Nolan to executive produce the film.

Sources say the new movie is going for the tone of the relationship and fight seen in Frank Miller’s 1980s ground-breaking mini-series The Dark Knight Returns.

The film will shoot in Detroit and throughout Michigan sometime in the first quarter of 2014. Warner Bros will also shoot the movie in Toronto to meet its release on July 17 2015.
