Badge Dale Searches For The Truth In Mamet's Blackbird

James Badge Dale ("Iron Man 3," "World War Z") will join writer-director David Mamet’s Hitchcock-style thriller Blackbird says Deadline

The present-day set film will turn on a secret explanation for President John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963.

Cate Blanchett plays Janet, who travels to Los Angeles for the funeral of her grandfather, a Hollywood visual effects artist who moonlighted for U.S. special ops agencies. Her grandfather’s well-kept secrets become a threat to her, forcing Janet to discover the truth about a man who dedicated his life to making illusion reality.

Dale co stars as a military major who is trying to discover the truth about the political secrets of his grandfather who worked in U.S. special ops during 1960s.

 Saïd Ben Saïd will produce the film.
