Penn will play the youngest of a group of kids who live in a condemned building in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The building’s residents succumb to an infection from their own waste and garbage, inciting attempts to kill one another.
Eli Morgan Gesner is directing from his own script.
Dallas Sonnier and Jack Heller will produce the pic.
Filming begins in April in New York.
Gesner was a professional skateboarder as a teenager before Russell Simmons hired him as one of the clothing designers for Phat Farm. He also created his own label, called Zoo York, and worked as creative consultant on the HBO series “How to Make it in America.”
