Jamie Dornan Leads "The Siege Of Jadotville"

"Fifty Shades of Grey" and "The Fall" star Jamie Dornan  has scored the lead role of Irish Commandant Pat Quinlan in the geo-political thriller "The Siege Of Jadotville" says  Deadline.

The story is based on a 1961 siege in the Congo following Moise Tshombe taking control of the Katanga region. 150 UN Irish troops, led by Quinlan, held out against a force of 3,000 local troops led by French and Belgian mercenaries.

Kevin Brodbin ("Constantine") wrote the script from which Richie Smyth will direct.

Alan Moloney will produce the film

Production begins in Ireland and South Africa in the spring.
