Latino Review has news regarding two high profile DC Comics films.
The first rumor deals with the potential villain in Zack Snyder's upcoming superhero team-up film "Justice League" written by "Argo' scribe Chris Terrio:
"Brainiac is going to be the bad guy in Justice League. The set-up of it is cool. Remember the Kryptonian beacon in Man Of Steel, that Clark set off, that brought Zod to Earth? Brainiac heard it as well"
"Justice League" teams their most famous heroes (Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, among others)
The currently in production "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman Ray Fisher as Cyborg and "Fast Five" star Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman are expected to reprise these roles for the film.
Rumors swirled awhile ago that reportedly confirmed that Jason Momoa has been cast as Aquaman--Momoa has been linked to DC's plans for a long time--he's been suggested for numerous other roles like Doomsday or Metallo alien hero Martian Manhunter who also happens to like Oreo Cookies. The imposing actor has been asked about the talk several times but has always denied that he's up for a role.
Meantime: The star of The CW's popular Arrow TV series Stephen Amell posted a "Justice League" comic image on his official Facebook page. The Flash (Grant Gustin) showed up there for a few eps before getting his own show (Watch an extended trailer). Could more of DC Entertainment's "Justice League" be coming to "Arrow"? The answer is yes...For now the DC Cinematic Universe will NOT co-exist with the TV heroics...There are rumors about where the films might go as well as the TV side of things...
Warner Bros has tried to launch a JL movie twice:
In 2007 casting of George Miller's "Justice League Mortal" movie was nearly complete before that project was nixed.
The suits scraped Will Beale's script which was said to take its cues from the storyline by Gerry Conway from Justice League Of America 183-185. that sees Darkseid, the oppressive god ruler of the war planet Apokolips, planning the destruction of Earth by blasting it with a weapon that moves Apokolips into Earth’s place. The storyline has the Justice League teaming up with the Justice Society of America.
LR claims the film's producers are "pushing him [Darkseid] towards later."
The site also claims they have the line-up of the seven villains in the film based on the DC Entertainment's "Suicide Squad" comic book.
The comic focused on a team of super villains who were given a second chance by the government for redemption. The catch is that the mission they are sent on will likely end up killing all of them.
Captain Boomerang, Vixen and Deadshot are set to be the three leads in the film, while Blockbuster, Multiplex, Jaculi and Mindboggler are also involved.
Fury and "End of Watch" director David Ayer is the choice to the top choice to steer a film using a script by Justin Marks.
