New "Horns" Peek: "The Devil Has Claimed You!"

A new international trailer and one-sheet are out for the big screen version of Joe Hill's 2010 novel Horns has arrived.

Daniel Radcliffe will play Ig Perrish, the lead suspect in the violent rape and killing of his girlfriend. Hung over from a night of hard drinking, Ig awakens one morning to find horns starting to grow from his head. Their power drives people to confess sins and give in to selfish impulses - becoming an effective tool in his quest to discover the circumstances of his girlfriend Merrin's (Juno Temple) death.

The Social Network's Max Minghella will play Lee Tourneau, a supposedly “compassionate public defender” who has a “hidden dark side”. Joe Anderson James Remar and Kelli Garner also star.

Alexandre Aja called action using an adapted script written by Keith Bunin.

Shia Labeouf signed on to lead the film at one time.

Hill, son of Stephen King serves as executive producer on the pic.

Peter Guber and Cathy Schulman produced the pic that hits theaters and VOD this Halloween.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier & The Disc Easter Eggs

With "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" hitting VOD services ahead of a Disc debut on September 9th, fans have started to discover all of the film's 'easter eggs' - the brief and carefully placed references to other elements of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and comics.

A two-part video highlighting many of them has hit the Net.

Jamie Dornan Lives “The Ninth Life Of Louis Drax"

The Hollywood Reporter states that Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan will star in the psychological thriller “The Ninth Life of Louis Drax”.

An adaptation of author Liz Jensen's bestselling novel--the story follows young Louis Drax, who suffers a near-fatal fall on his ninth birthday. In order to reveal the strange circumstances surrounding the boy’s accident, Dr. Allan Pascal (Dornan) is drawn into a thrilling mystery, testing the boundaries of fantasy and reality.

Alexandre Aja (“Horns”) will direct the film from an adapted script by actor Max Minghella, marking his feature screenwriting debut.

Minghella Tim Bricknell, Shawn Williamson and Aja will produce. The film will be exec produced by Rosanne Korenberg.

Production is set to kick off this October in Vancouver.

John Moore Charts "I.T."

John Moore ("A Good Day to Die Hard," "Flight of the Phoenix") is set to direct the thriller "I.T." says Deadline.

The story follows a successful book publisher (Pierce Brosnan) in a battle of wits against a young disgruntled I.T. consultant who uses his tech skills to threaten the publisher’s family.

 William Wisher Jr. will pen a rewrite of Dan Kay's first script written when Stefano Sollima was due to call action.

David T. Friendly, Craig J. Flores, Nicolas Chartier and Beau St. Clair will produce.

James Ellroy Pens "Laura" Redux

"L.A. Confidential" and "The Black Dahlia" author James Ellroy will script a remake of of the 1944 film noir thriller Laura says THR.

Otto Preminger directed the original classic which centered on a detective who falls for the woman whose murder he is investigating.

Gene Tierney, Dana Andrews, Clifton Webb and Vincent Price starred in the film, which was nominated for five Oscars, including Clifton Webb for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and  Preminger for best director. Joseph Lashelle winning the Oscar for Best Cinematography.

Ellroy has also written the screenplays for Street Kings and Rampart.

The project doesn't have a director attached at this time.

Graham McTavish Set For "The Finest Hours"

Graham McTavish has joined the true story Coast Guard drama "The Finest Hours" says Deadline.

 Based on the non-fiction book by Casey Sherman and Michael Tougias, the story chronicles a daring rescue by the Coast Guard of 84 men off Cape Cod in 1952. At the time two oil tankers collided and were torn in half by waves during a fierce blizzard.

McTavish will play Frank Fauteux, a fireman who survived the ordeal.

Chris Pine is set to star in the film. Casey Affleck co-stars

"The Fighter" scribes Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson are writing the adapted script.

Robert Schwentke was originally attached to direct last May, but the script took too long to develop and he left the project deciding to do the Divergent sequel Insurgent. Prior to that reports had,  Boardwalk Empire ep helmer Tim Van Patten in line to helm this as his first big screen gig.

Craig Gillespie (Million Dollar Arm) is now tipped to direct.

Jim Whitaker and Dorothy Aufiero will produce.

Steve Carell Steps Into "Freeheld" Role

Deadline reports that Steve Carell is set to replace Zach Galifianakis in the feature adaptation of the 2007 Oscar-winning documentary short "Freeheld".

 Ron Nyswaner ("Philadelphia") wrote the script where Ellen Page will play Stacie Andree, a woman denied the pension benefits of her terminally ill longtime partner and New Jersey police detective Laurel Hester (Julianne Moore). Hester’s conservative detective partner Dane Wells stepped up to become the leader in the fight for Laurel’s rights to assign her benefits to Andree.

 Galifianakis dropped out his chance to play equality activist Steven Goldstein due to scheduling conflicts.

 Peter Sollett ("Raising Victor Vargas," "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist") is set to direct.

Jack Selby, Scott Stone, Stacey Sher, Michael Shamberg, Kelly Bush, Kristina Sorensen, James Stern and Cynthia Wade will produce.

Jack O'Connell Eyed For Robert The Bruce Biopic

Director David Mackenzie wants to reunite with his "Starred Up" star Jack O'Connell for a gritty film about medieval Scottish king Robert the Bruce.

Robert the Bruce ruled from 1306 until he died in 1329. Prior to that, Bruce was the Guardian of Scotland alongside his rival, John Comyn. Both were vying for the throne and ultimately, Bruce killed Comyn. Shortly after that, Bruce got his wish and went on to lead Scotland against England in the First Scottish War of Independence.

Mackenzie tells Collider: "I’m trying to get Jack involved in that.  And I can’t say that’s official, but Jack and I have been in discussion on that.  But not as the Robert the Bruce character, as a secondary character, but a very, very sort of close second."

;Starred Up focuses on 19-year-old Eric (O’Connell), arrogant and ultra-violent, who is prematurely transferred to the same adult prison facility as his estranged father (Ben Mendelsohn).

As his explosive temper quickly finds him enemies in both prison authorities and fellow inmates — and his already volatile relationship with his father is pushed past breaking point — Eric is approached by a volunteer psychotherapist, who runs an anger management group for prisoners. Torn between gang politics, prison corruption, and a glimmer of something better, Eric finds himself in a fight for his own life, unsure if his own father is there to protect him or join in punishing him.

The film just hit iTunes and VOD. It also makes its way into select theaters today.

Box Office Preview: Summer Sputters To A Close

It's Summer 2014's last gasp. Today Pierce Brosnan plays an ex-Central Intelligence Agency operative in The November Man (reviews) He finds himself pitted against his former pupil (Luke Bracey) in a deadly game involving high-level CIA officials and the Russian president-elect.  The two are in a race to find a woman (Olga Kurylenko) hiding from her past who holds the key to the international conspiracy.

Roger Donaldson ("Dante's Peak") directs the film which is based on Bill Granger's novel "There Are No Spies"--as part of the November Man book series. A sequel has already been greenlit.

The found footage flick As Above, So Below (reviews), directed by John Erick Dowdle (Quarantine, Devil), is unearthed. A team of explorers venture into the uncharted maze of bones, they uncover the dark secret that lies within this city of the dead. Dowdle wrote the script with his brother, Drew, and the film stars Ben Feldman, Perdita Weeks, and Edwin Hodge.

An adult-minded espionage film starring Pierce Brosnan and a found-footage thriller targeting younger moviegoers are closing out the troubled summer season at the North American box office, where revenue could hit an eight-year low.

Director Roger Donaldson's The November Man is getting a jump on the long Labor Day holiday by opening Wednesday and is projected to make $12 million in its six-day debut. The $20 million-plus movie was made by The Solution Entertainment Group, Palmstar Media Capital and Merced Media Partners, with Relativity Media acquiring U.S. rights for a reported $3 million.

The holiday's second new nationwide player is Legendary Entertainment's micro-budgeted As Above, So Below, about a team of explorers who confront their past sins while caught in the twisting catacombs that lie beneath the streets of Paris. Universal is releasing the film per its deal with Legendary.

Labor Day is never a big moviegoing weekend, although this year could be slower than usual. It's also possible that holdover Guardians of the Galaxy could stay No. 1.

Despite gains made in August, thanks in large part to Guardians and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, domestic summer revenue is still down down nearly 15 percent from last year, and isn't likely to get much past $4 billion by the end of Labor Day. That's the lowest number in eight years.

November Man will rely on adults interested in seeing Brosnan play a James Bond-like character. He stars opposite Olga Kurylenko and Luke Bracey in the action title, about an extremely dangerous ex-CIA agent who is lured out of retirement to protect a witness. The assignment makes him the target of his former friend and CIA protege.

The movie is based on Bill Granger's bestselling November Man book series. Irish Dreamtime and Das Films produced the movie.

As Above/So Below, which begins rolling out in select theaters Thursday night before opening everywhere Friday, is tracking to open in the $8 million to $10 million range. The movie cost a modest $5 million to make, minimizing Legendary's risk. Moreover, the company and Universal relied almost entirely on a digital marketing campaign designed to win over younger moviegoers, versus television ads. Hollywood will be watching to see if the unconventional approach works and the movie overperforms.

John Erick Dowdle directed the psychological thriller from a script he wrote with Drew Dowdle, his brother. Ben Feldman, Perdita Weeks and Edwin Hodge star.

The digital marketing campaign included a partnership with YouTube’s biggest talent, PewDiePie, to create a series of custom videos in the Paris Catacombs that generated more than 15 million views of content and trailer. There was also a heavy Hispanic media campaign on major TV networks and digital outlets with customized spots.

As Above/So Below has already begun rolling in French, Belgium and French-speaking Switzerland, grossing $900,000 for Legendary and Universal. It opens in additional territories this weekend, including the U.K.

"The Maze Runner" Movie Gets IMAX Debut

IMAX Corporation and 21st Century Fox have announced that the film adaptation of author James Dashner's bestselling 2009 book "The Maze Runner" will be digitally re-mastered into the large format and released across all US IMAX locales for a one-week engagement on September 19th.

The young adult dystopian story follows Thomas (Teen Wolf series co-star and NJ native Dylan O'Brien) who awakens with no memory and finds that he is among a community of boys trapped inside an enormous maze. He soon learns they are part of a mysterious test, and finds it is his destiny to join the ‘maze runners’ and lead them to freedom.

Thomas Brodie-Sangster will portray Newt, an early friend for Thomas The character is a pertinent one to the entire story British actor Aml Ameen will play Alby, the honorable but stern leader of the Gladers. Kaya Scodelario ("Moon") is playing Teresa, Thomas's best friend, who falls into a coma after arriving with a message that she's the last one, and speaks to Thomas through telepathy. Will Poulter plays Gally an immediate foe to Thomas and doesn't trust him. Patricia Clarkson will play the enigmatic Chancellor Ava Paige, the woman who is testing children in order to find the strongest warriors

Noah Oppenheim wrote the first draft of the script when Catherine Hardwicke was due to helm, Grant Myers wrote the next draft of the script for new helmer Wes Ball (Ruin).

Fox already has enough confidence in their young adult film adaptation of The Maze Runner that they're moving ahead with a sequel--"The Scorch Trials".

Ball and some of the film's cast showed up during the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con at Hall H to debut a fresh trailer and scenes from the film. Towards the end of the presentation, Ball announced that development on the sequel was underway with hopes to start production as early as towards the end of the year should the first film be successful.

The panel followed a secret fan screening of the film which garnered enthusiastic reviews across social media.

Lois And Clark Take Ice Bucket Challenge

Lots of folks famous or otherwise have been taking the Ice Bucket Challenge in recent weeks to benefit ALS research.

Taking a break from filming Zack Snyder's upcoming superhero team-up film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Henry Cavill and Amy Adams decided to do the deed in costume as Superman and Lois Lane



The DOJ release was delayed a full 10 months for a number of reasons. As a result, the original release date of July 17th 2015 was no longer. The studio then targeted a May 6th 2016 release. They quickly inserted the fantasy Pan into that original slot. The sequel was to go head to head with "Captain America 3" ...Nobody thought that the comic book pics would ultimately share the date--Sure enough DOJ blinked--and will now open on March 25th 2016.

"The Sinister Six" Film: Roster Potentials

We know Sony Pictures is been working on the Spider-Man film series villain spin off from Drew Goddard called "The Sinister Six"-out November 11th 2016. Given that there were various incarnations of the Sinister Six in the comics. Which baddies will we see in the flick?

The new video featurette on the bonus disc of the Target-exclusive Blu-ray/DVD release of  Marc Webb's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". In the vid, Webb confirms Mysterio and Kraven the Hunter are a part of The Sinister Six line-up.

Webb also confirms there was a deleted scene where The Gentleman, a.k.a. Gustav Fiers (Michael Massee) visits the cryogenically frozen head of Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper).

Busy Ridley Says "Blade Runner 2" Is Scripted

Even as Ridley Scott prepares his upcoming biblical feature "Exodus" for release this Fall-we know that he's also working on "Prometheus 2" and the as yet untitled Blade Runner Sequel. 

 
 He tells EW, adding that the "Blade Runner 2" script is complete:

"It's written and it's damn good. Of course it involves Harrison, who is a survivor after all these years - despite the accident (the ankle injury he got filming Star Wars: Episode VII). So yes, that will happen."

Scott says he could direct the "Blade Runner" sequel after doing "The Martian" though that doesn't leave time for "Prometheus 2" currently slated for a March 4th 2016 bow.

Scott admits: "That’s the problem, I've got a lot of ducks in a row. But they're all written."

Captain America 3: Will Hawkeye Show Up? MODOK?

We will see Jeremy Renner reprise his role as Hawkeye in "Joss Whedon's superhero team up sequel "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" next year...Beyond that could we also see the character pop up in Captain America 3?

The actor tells Collider: "There are rumblings of Captain America 3.  I don't know what's going to happen there.  I've got to find the time, man (laughs).  I'm trying to stay home and I can't."

"Ultron" will show us how Hawkeye could fit into the next Captain America film.

Meanwhile with "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is coming to Disc September 9th, the film's screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely talked to SFX Magazine about a number of topics related to the movie, the upcoming third film and the future of the franchise.

Markus says he's keen to fit MODOK.(Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing), a giant headed and hovering mutated scientist into the script of the third film if they can figure out how to explain a giant, floating head:

"I don't know if there's anybody that we had in the wings that we couldn't pull off. There are people that I'm always wanting to bring in. I want to put Modok into something, but you can't just drop a giant floating head in! It's not like 'Oh, we have to go talk to this guy – there's something I should tell you about him first… [laughs]. Suddenly the whole movie needs to take on that structure in order to accommodate him. I never win that fight"

 MODOK was discussed as the possible bad guy for Cap 2

In terms of the third film's tone, they're essentially aiming to replicate the political thriller vibe of the second film: 

"When we hit upon the [Ed Brubaker] run of the comic book, we all said that, with certain exceptions, that's the tone of Cap's modern franchise. And you can imagine that with us back, with the Russos back, then if you like Winter Soldier you'll hopefully like the third one, if we do it right."

Markus also weighed in on the recent change in the comics which sees Sam Wilson aka Falcon (Anthony Mackie), taking on the mantle and legacy of Captain America.  Could this happen on film?

"I think the movies can accommodate almost anything, if there's a need. I think there is a much greater need to shake things up in the comics because that's a narrative that's been going on for 60 or 70 years, so you're going to wind up having to do things to it. Ours has only been off the ground for five or so. So it's not quite time to start changing things up yet. Plus I can't figure out how he's going to have the wings and the shield at the same time. Isn't it going to get all crammed up on the wing? I don't know... When those things happen in the comics you also have a tendency, perhaps cynically, to go 'Yeah, but he's going to be Steve Rogers in two months...' He's going to wake up out of cryo-stasis or whatever it is and it's going to be like 'Oh, I need the shield back'."

Joe Russo and Anthony Russo are set to return to their post calling action.

Jack Huston Up for "Doctor Strange"?

This Is Infamous reports that "Boardwalk Empire" and "American Hustle" cohort Jack Huston.is the latest potential for the lead in Marvel's long gestating Doctor Strange movie.

While he may not be the frontrunner the site says that  the actor is "definitely in the running" and in my opinion would be great choice.  He has been on the radar for Fox's Fantastic Four reboot--as bad guy Doctor Doom. Huston was also in the running to play Peter Quill/Star-Lord in James Gunn's film adaptation of "Guardians of the Galaxy" (My Review). The 31 year-old is not yet a proven box office star (Read Cheaper) which also could work in his favor.

 Now part of the studio's phase three or four plans--Created in 1963 in the comics by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko --Doctor Strange tells the story of an arrogant surgeon who is injured in a car accident and goes on to become the Sorcerer Supreme of the universe. Using his magical powers Strange protects the earth from attacks from other realms.

The recently hired Scott Derrickson was first reported in contention for the director job earlier this year, along with names like Jonathan Levine ("Warm Bodies") and Mark Andrews ("Brave").

"Kung Fu Panda" scribes Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger were said to be poised to pen a recent screenplay draft. Back in January 2012, Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer-the writing duo behind the recent remake of Conan the Barbarian had their work seemingly approved by the studio. Just yesterday we learned that Jon Spaihts, best known for writing the early and more "Alien"-inspired drafts of Ridley Scott's "Prometheus" is in talks to rewrite the script. The tone of the film will be similar to that of "Iron Man".

Actor/writer Justin Theroux ("Mulholland Drive," "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle"), Viggo Mortensen and Joel Edgerton were mentioned for the lead as well. "Inception" and "The Dark Knight Rises" star Joseph Gordon-Levitt was the last actor in the mix before Johnny Depp's name was mentioned

Depp is said to have had a meeting "to discuss taking on the role of Dr. Strange." His strong ties to Disney, Marvel's owners, makes him an ideal candidate

On the heels of the director potentials Bleeding Cool reported that: "According to one pretty solid Marvel-adjacent source, Mads Mikkelsen apparently is, or has been, somewhere in the mix for the film's early casting discussions."

Deadline had Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch hovering over the pic recently--The main issue for both actors is scheduling..They already have various commitments elsewhere. Both of them starred together in 2011's "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy," remake and the 2007 telemovie "Stuart: A Life Backwards" Badass Digest reported that recent Oscar winner Jared Leto is (or was) being eyed to play the lead. The Wrap had Joaquin Phoenix is in talks for the lead role.

Edgar Ramirez has been mentioned as well---possibly playing bad guy Baron Mordo.

There's no specific release date for "Doctor Strange," yet it will likely take one of the slots that the studio has staked out-recently Production on the film is expected to get underway next year.

The "Jurassic World" Attenborough Tribute

Director Colin Trevorrow has shared a new photo from "Jurassic World"...honoring Richard Attenborough who passed away over the weekend.

The events are said to take place Isla Nublar, the site of John Hammond's (Attenborough) Jurassic Park theme park, rather than Isla Sorna of the two previous sequels. "Jurassic World" lays the groundwork of story arcs that could be carried into future installments of the film series.

Chris Pratt will play a rugged ex-military man, who spars with Bryce Dallas Howard's corporate scientist.  Melissa & Joey and The Kings of Summer star Nick Robinson is poised to play the older brother of Ty Simpkins, the 12-year-old actor that befriended Robert Downey Jr. in "Iron Man 3".The boys are in turn Howard’s nephews. Josh Brolin was first in line for Pratt's role but a deal could not be reached. Vincent D'Onofrio will play the villain in the sequel. Irrfan Khan has landed an unspecified role in the project as well. Actor Bd Wong will reprise his role as Dr. Henry Wu."The Intouchables" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past" star Omar Sy Judy Greer Katie McGrath James DuMont and Lauren Lapkus also star.

"New Girl" and "Drinking Buddies" star Jake Johnson also may star. "Pacific Rim" and "Luther" star Idris Elba came up in a casting notice. Jason Schwartzman is rumored for a role in the sequel. David Oyelowo is said to had a meeting about the flick as well. There's nothing official on that though.

Originally slated for June 2014, the sequel was delayed due to further work being need on the super secret script by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes)--not to mention an already too tight schedule.

Colin Trevorrow wrote the revised screenplay with Derek Connolly and directed the film

Steven Spielberg, who directed Jurassic Park and its sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park, will executive produce here. Jurassic Park III was brought to the screen by Joe Johnston.

Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley will produce the dino sequel set to hit theaters on June 12, 2015.

Chris Hemsworth & Charlie Day "Vacation" Together

Variety reports that Chris Hemsworth and Charlie Day are in negotiations to join the cast of the upcoming Vacation reboot.

The original series of 4 films from 1983-1997 followed the Griswold family as they took a summer road trip across America, a European Vacation, stayed home for a Christmas Vacation, (the best of the sequels in my opinion) and a Vegas Vacation with mishaps happening all along the way.

The new version is said to focus on a now adult Rusty Griswold ("The Hangover" and "Cedar Rapids" star Ed Helms)--The character has been played by multiple actors over the years by Anthony Michael Hall, Jason Lively Johnny Galecki Ethan Embry.

Rusty plans to take his family on a road trip similar to the one he and his parents and sister took when he was young. Christina Applegate will play Helm’s strong-willed wife who might be losing interest in him.

Both Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo are expected to cameo

The film will be written and directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstien The pic was delayed last year due to script work.

Day will play a river raft touring guide. Hemsworth will play Audrey's boyfriend, an up and coming anchorman. He'll shoot his role before doing "The Huntsman" which starts production early next year.
 
Chris Bender and David Dobkin will produce the reboot.

Andrew Dominik Pens "The Shaolin Temple" Redux

Deadline reports that Andrew Dominik, writer-director of Chopper, Killing Them Softly and the western The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford will write the script for the remake of the 1982 kung fu film that launched the great Jet Li's career--"The Shaolin Temple".

The original film is set in the period between China's Sui and Tang Dynasties. When the Tang emperor is betrayed by one of his generals, the son of one of his slave workers escapes to the temple, trains in kung fu, and sets out to kill the traitor.

 Former Fast and the Furious film franchise director Justin Lin will make his Chinese language debut directing here.

The 3D project is while off--pre-production is expected to take up to two years. No specific filming start date is set.

Troy Craig Poon, Bruno Wu and Wang Changtian will produce the new version.

Lin is at work as executive producer on  James Wan's Fast & Furious 7 and is attached to direct the  Untitled Jason Bourne Sequel

Bond 24: Henchman Search & More Location News

James Bond Radio reports that Bond 24 is looking for an actor to play the henchman of the film's bad guy.

This character is in line with the tall and imposing types from earlier films like Jaws  (Richard Kiel) or Red Grant (Martin Shaw).

I Love You Man

Here's the description:

Hinx (Male, 30 – 45) - Ideally over 6' 2". Hinx is the main henchman/assassin. We are looking for an imposing extremely physically fit actor. He has several fights with Bond and will have to have stunt training. He has to drive. We are looking for someone very unusual, possibly from a sports background.

Meantime  the small and picturesque mountain town of Obertilliach in Austria will be used for three days of filming in January capturing wintry action. The production originally had planned to film in Norway but dropped those due to financial considerations.

Sam Mendes is once again directing the film. Veteran James Bond screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have returned to perform rewrites. The duo have been the early writers on the film series since 1999's "The World is Not Enough,"and  they would often do the initial script drafts while other writers like Paul Haggis and John Logan would  polish. The pair were set to retire from the series after handing in their early drafts of "Skyfall," with Logan subsequently taking over the later drafts. Logan was writing the latest adventure solo.

Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson will produce the new film

The sequel is still targeting a November 6th 2015 release.

Steve Martin Tipped To Attend "Magic Camp"

THR reports that Steve Martin is in talks to star in a family comedy Magic Camp.

The story follows "a straitlaced banker who returns to Magic Camp, which he attended as a shy child. This time he is a counselor who makes it his mission to improve the lives of all the kids while keeping an eye on his ultimate prize, the top spot at the Golden Wand competition."

Martin  co-wrote the most recent script with Stu Zicherman, the writer and director of A.C.O.D. The original script was written by Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah, who also wrote the adapted screenplay of Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Judah and Sachs will stay on to produce the film.
