As always Steven Spielberg keeps himself very busy and now we can add another project to his slate

He is set to produce a film about fictional secret agent Matt Helm reports Variety.



Author Donald Hamilton created the character who starred in a series of 27 novels about a government agent whose mission is to take down enemy agents.

The character was brought to life on the big screen in 4 films starring Dean Martin in the 60's

Spielberg, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are set to produce. Paul Attanasio delivered a rewrite last week which reportedly renewed Spielberg's interest in the project.

Kurtzman and Orci have spy cred from their days on "Alias" Attanasio wrote Donnie Brasco and The Sum of All Fears...
