THR says that Zac Efron's first real dramatic role in a film, will finally see the light of day....Me and Orson Welles has a release date: Nov. 25, 2009.

Set in 1937, the story centers on a high school student who, while strolling the streets of New York, happens upon the yet-to-open Mercury Theatre and is noticed by its mercurial founder, Orson Welles. The student lands a bit part in “Julius Caesar,” the production that catapulted Welles to the top, and spends the next week learning about life and love.
Holly Gent Palmo and Vincent Palmo Jr. penned the screenplay from the book of the same name.
Richard Linklater's film got play at last year's Toronto International Film Festival...What it means that it took this long for the film to find a distrutor and date to bow is unclear...
