CBS Will Tell Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark

CBS Films has picked up the film rights to the Alvin Schwartz authored horror folktale anthology book "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" says Deadline.

The film will follow a group of kids who band together to save their town from living nightmares. Several of the memorable short stories will then be incorporated into the narrative.

Frequent Saw Film Franchise scribes Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan delivered a pitch for the project which CBS has also acquired, and will now write the adapted script.

Sean Daniels, Jason Brown and Elizabeth Grave will produce the film

Oh man, this was one of my favorite books as a kid. I checked it out of the library so many times.
