A film adaptation of popular Beverly Cleary books about Ramona Quimby, Gomez will play Beezus, the older sister to the energetic, accident-prone Ramona Geradline Quimby (King).
Aquamarine" helmer Elizabeth Allen will direct a screenplay by Laurie Craig and Nick Pustay.
As soneine who grew up reading Cleary's exploits about Henry--I remember these characters very well...Gomez seems a bit older than the books portray Beezus
The film is due in theaters March 19th 2010.
