"Fred" Lands A Film

Lucas Cruikshank (AKA Internet sensation Fred--pictured with Jennette McCurdy) and Jaime King are attached to star in the graphic novel adaptation of "Emo Boy" says The Hollywood Reporter.





Stephen Emond's series sees a melodramatic high school teen who believes he has "emo powers."

Cruikshank will play Emo Boy, and King will play Mrs. Hutcherson, a teacher and "emo sympathizer."

Emond wrote the screenplay, with Kyle Newman (who is also married to King) attached to direct.

It's a shrewd move to hire someone as popular as "Fred" in the title role but looking up his bio in IMDb--he's omly got one episode of tween show iCarly playing himself--Can he carry an entire film--beyond the range of his webcam show?
