Let's dive right into another collection of film news bits....

*Collider talked to David S. Goyer about Ghost Rider 2 and he admitted that the script's been sitting around for 9 years-- all he has to do is give it a polish.

"I wrote a script for that about 9 years ago. Sony decided and the producers that they wanted to make that as the sequel script. In this case I'm coming on as a producer, and we're basically just doing a polish. There's not as much work involved."

Better hurry with the polish Dave 'cause star Nicolas Cage really needs a paycheck...

*Charlize Theron is the latest actress rumored to play Catwoman--When asked about it Theron has no idea, but if asked to--she told Digital Spy:

“...that's kick-ass news. I think that what has happened to that franchise is amazing, and director Chris Nolan is a genius. So I would be an idiot to not consider that.

*Speaking of Nolan...

His latest pic "Inception" will be coming to IMAX theatres coinciding with the film's wide release in standard theatres on July 16th 2010.

*What the...? Big time film star James Franco is headed to daytime TV??? He will play the recurring role of a mobster on the long-running soap "General Hospital" for two months starting on November 20th...

Next thing ya know he'll be doing TV ads for men's deodorant...



*Disney denies reports of writing out Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow character from the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides....

*Will Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger cameo in Predators?

*Josh Klausner has been hired to pen a script for a feature film based on the highly successful kids property Thomas the Tank Engine says The Hollywood Reporter.The film will mix live-action and CGI and already set a Spring 2011 release.

*Guillermo del Toro says he's "VERY HAPPY!" about-progress being made on a Director’s Cut of his 1997 film Mimic
