Critically-acclaimed playwright and Oscar-winner Ronald Harwood has been hired to write the screenplay for the Martin Luther King, Jr biopic in development says The Wrap.



This project is the first film to be authorized by The MLK Estate and to utilize the intellectual property of Dr. King. King copyrighted his speeches, books, and famous works during his lifetime.

Steven Spielberg Suzanne De Passe and Madison Jones will produce the film.
