Entertainment Weekly reports that the upcoming The Karate Kid redo suprised everyone recently and scored the second highest test screening score in Sony Pictures' history.



Jaden Smith stars taking on the Ralph Macchio role as the new "Kid" Jackie Chan fills the mentor instuctor role played by Pat Morita in the 1984 classic.

The test score for the new version is said to be in the '97th percentile' just under 2005’s Hitch--starring Jaden's Dad Will Smith.

The film hits theaters on June 11th
