Taylor Gets 3rd Film Franchise

Taylor Lautner has signed to star a 3-D adaptation of Stretch Armstrong, based upon the Hasbro gel-filled action figure with elongated arms says Deadline Hollywood.

Lautner will play “an uptight spy who stumbles across a stretching formula, which he takes and must now adjust to in everyday life and when fighting crime,”

Ugh!

The action-comedy script was written by Steve Oedekerk (Bruce Almighty).

The young Twilight actor was also recently tipped to play extreme sports star-turned-secret agent Max Steel, a big screen relaunch of the action figure and cartoon character.

Armstrong is due for release in March 2012
