Life Coach

Kurt Russell has signed on to play a high-school football coach in "Touchback" says Variety

Brian Presley stars as an out of luck farmer/fireman whose promising football career came to an end years before due to an injury he sustained during a playoff game.

He then finds himself thrust back into reliving that game and must make the choice of which way he wants his life to go.

Melanie Lynskey is his wife Christine Lahti ("Obsessed") is his mother--and Marc Blucas also stars.

Don Handfield wrote the script and will direct.

This Russell's 2nd coach role--he played the 1980 US Hockey coach in Miracle

Shooting begins this week in Michigan.
