Lautner Will Work With Van Sant

Taylor Lautner will star in and produce a low-budget film based on a non-fiction article in The New Yorker magazine says The Hollywood Reporter.

Lautner optioned the article with an already hired script writer expected to be announced later this week.

Gus Van Sant ("Milk," "My Own Private Idaho") is set to direct.

Shooting would begin sometime in the first quarter of next year.

Lautner is still attached to the "Stretch Armstrong" film but that notion has lost momentum in recent months. (Thank Goodness For Small Miracles!)
