Universal Pictures will release a digitally remastered and restored version of Steven Spielberg's "Jaws" for its Blu-ray debut on August 14th according to Blu-ray.com.
The release features its original 2.39:1 original aspect ratio, while the disc contains a newly remastered 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track.
The extras include an all-new feature-length documentary entitled "The Shark is Still Working: The Impact & Legacy of Jaws" along with a previously released two-hour making of docu, featurettes, marketing materials, deleted scenes, outtakes and the trailer.
The studio has also done a 8 and half minute video preview with several key people (including Spielberg) talking about the restoration process:
