A Trio Of Films Spin-Off From "The Conjuring"....

We already know that "The Conjuring 2" is in the works. Now we learn that New Line Cinema is also developing 3 spin-off projects as well.

Schmoes Know says the first film would center on Annabelle, the haunted doll which is housed in a locked away collection of possessed artifacts owned by paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga and  Patrick Wilson)

Separate from the main storyline of the first film, the doll is a key part of that film's prologue and comes into play briefly in the second half.

No specific plot  details are available for the spin-off tentatively called "The Annabelle Story," which will take place before the events in "The Conjuring". John R. Leonetti, who served as cinematographer on the first pic is set to direct. Bloody Disgusting adds that John Darkois slated to co-direct that project,

Chad Hayes and Carey Hayes, who wrote the first film, are penning the sequel and aren't involved in the spin-off.

There's even fewer details available on the other two spin-offs aside from them being micro-budget projects. No word on when production of the sequel will take place, but production on 'Annabelle' could begin as early as sometime before the end of the year.
