Allen And Alan BMOC

The Todd Phillips pic Due Date doesn't hit theaters for some time but screenwriters Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland already have another gig lined up says Variety

The duo's untitled pitch, about a guy who goes home and is mistaken by his high school classmates for the most popular guy in school has been optioned.

Brian Grazer is going to produce the pic.

"In Due Date, we focused on the birth of a first child, and here, it is the high school experience, which forged this guy's limited future," Cohen said.

"The early Imagine comedies like Splash and Night Shift were the reason we came here, so it was gratifying that Brian responded to the material." Freedland added.

The pitch sounds pretty generic if you ask me...
