Bryan Cranston has joined the cast of the adventure pic John Carter Of Mars according to the Heat Vision Blog.Based upon Edgar Rice Burroughs book series, the first live-action feature from Pixar, centers on a Civil War veteran (Taylor Kitsch) who finds himself mysteriously transported to Mars. He soon becomes involved with the planet's warring population.
Cranston plays a Civil War colonel who comes into conflict with Carter
Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, Samantha Morton, Dominic West, Polly Walker, Thomas Haden Church, James Purefoy and Mark Strong also star.
Shooting kicks off next week with Andrew Stanton calling action.
The TV series Breaking Bad provides Cranston the opportunity to take on pretty heavy stuff--It will be great to see him take on some light stuff on the big screen--no less.
