With this year's CinemaCon in full swing Paramount took the opportunity to screen footage from at least two upcoming Michael Bay films that he's involved with-the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" reboot, and the sequel "Transformers: Age Of Extinction".
Bay produced the "Turtles" and directed the fourth "Transformers" movie starring new lead Mark Wahlberg attending the event to spark anticipation for the film.
Yahoo says that Wahlberg called the Transformers film series "the most iconic franchise in movie history," he goes on to boast about the new film's potential for success:
"For moviegoers all over the world, I guarantee this will take it up a notch. It is bigger and better than the other three [films] combined. This will be the biggest movie of 2014."
Has he seen Star Wars?
The previous film in the series, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon made $1.1 billion worldwide.
Bay is busy with post-production and didn't attend. According to attendees, as the new film begins of the film the Transformers have been deemed to be an alien threat by the U.S. Government. An agency designed to capture and neutralize them has been established.
"Transformers: Age Of Extinction" is set for
release on June 27th, 2014.
