The story follows an older fading rock star (Streep), who after years of being estranged from her children, finally tries to reconnect as one of them goes through an ugly divorce.
The script was written by Diablo Cody (Juno) from which Jonathan Demme set to direct.
Marc Platt and Mason Novick will produce the film.
This project will now be taken out to the studios to find distribution which should not take too long given the Oscar winning talent already lined up.
