Team Players

Bradley Cooper is officially in talks to play Lt. Templeton 'Faceman' Peck and Liam Neeson is in negotiations to play John 'Hannibal' Smith for Joe Carnahan in "The A-Team" flick.

As regular readers may recall Cooper told the IESB gang last month that he was up for the part and then a few days later said that he was taken out of context denying his involvement.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the original report was accurate after all and a few hours later Variety ran the Neeson item

Carnahan and Brian Bloom polished a script by Skip Woods

The film keeps the premise of the classic 80's TV show but will take a more serious tone.

Neeson proved he could hold an action flick together with Taken and makes a fine choice stepping into George Peppard's big shoes. Neeson's also lined up to star opposite Jennifer Connelly in Dustin Lance Black (who got an Oscar writting Milk)'s directing debut called What's Wrong with Virginia.

A late August production start is planned for the June 11th 2010 release.
