Pacino Mentors "Gotti"

Al Pacino is joining in on the Barry Levinson biopic Gotti: Three Generations says The Hollywood Reorter.

John Gotti who took over the powerful Gambino crime family in the 70's, was convicted in 1992 of committing thirteen murders. The film will explore that through the eyes of his son John A. Gotti Jr. However nabbing Al means script rewrites

John Travolta stars as Gotti Sr.

Pacino will play Gambino crime family underboss Aniello Dellacroce , an associate and mentor to John Gotti Sr.

Lindsay Lohan will play Kim Gotti,, the wife of Jr Gotti Joe Pesci is set to play Angelo Ruggiero and Travolta's real-life wife, Kelly Preston. will play his on screen wife Victoria Gotti  The studio wanted to nab James Franco to play the younger Gotti-no word yet if that's still the case. Leo Rossi wrote the inititial screenplay. Now Levinson brought his "Bugsy" collaborator James Toback along to rework the script for "Gotti." The revisions will put more emphasis on Gotti's relationship with Dellacroce.

Gotti" reunites Pacino with Levinson, who directed the actor in his role in last year's cable  TV movie "You Don't Know Jack," for which Pacino won an Emmy. Levinson also was a producer on Pacino's 1997 crime drama "Donnie Brasco" and co-wrote the 1979 court classic "... And Justice for All."in which Al starred.

Yes Pacino has done this kinda role a lot over the years--Thank the movie gods he's just so damn good at it--making each one unique and memorable--that it certainly doesn't matter

A Fall start is being eyed for Gotti
